We love chicken and this easy baked chicken recipe is healthy and delicious. I can have this from the oven to the table in under 30 minutes! This tender and juicy chicken is SO easy!

How do I bake chicken without drying it out?

Coating chicken with olive oil before baking helps to ensure it does not dry out. Also, be mindful of your cooking time so that you do not over cook it and dry it out.

HOWTO SEASON BAKED CHICKEN BREASTS:

We like to keep it simple and season with paprika, Italian Seasoning, salt and pepper. Easy!

You don’t need a ton of ingredients to season chicken. Just a few and the chicken will be amazing.

BAKED CHICKEN BREAST INGREDIENTS:

  • 5-6 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • ½ tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Pepper

How to bake chicken breasts:

First, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Next, place the chicken breast in a 9X13 baking dish.

Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken breasts. I like to use a basting brush to cover the chicken breasts.

Combine all the seasonings in a small bowl. Rub the seasoning mixture over the chicken breasts.

Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F in the thickest part.

The possibilities are endless and this chicken is delicious with just about anything.

We lovemashed potatoes and green beans. It is simple but delicious.

Rice is also tasty. We actually keep this in the freezer so it is so easy on busy nights.

Learnhow to freeze riceand you can make this meal even easier. I love to grab the rice from the freezer and we all can enjoy a really easy meal.

We do this for lots of meals and it helps put together a quick meal. If you are not freezing rice, it is such a time saver.

Sometimes we also add a simple side salad or learnhow to steam broccoli in the microwavefor another easy side idea.

Ideas for oven baked chicken recipe leftovers!

This chicken is delicious diced or cut into strips and served on top of a salad. I actually intentionally make extra just to have leftovers!

We love to enjoy this another night for dinner. It is such a time saver to cook once and eat twice (or more).

This makes a great dinner idea for another night or for lunches during the week.

You can also use the leftover chicken to make quesadillas. We actually do this with the leftover chicken and rice and mix it together. This is perfect for Mexican Monday!

Our family really loves this chicken so we have to cook extra to have leftovers. You might have to do the same.
