Join Our Home Health Program Team at Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Missouri
IntroductionAt Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Missouri, we provide skilled services to patients in the comfort of their own homes under the orders of a private physician. Our services are offered through payment from Medicaid, Medicare, and Private Pay/Insurance. We are a not-for-profit organization committed to making a difference in our community.
Type Of Work InvolvedAs part of our team, you will assess symptoms of diseases, monitor responses to treatment, educate patients and caregivers on self-care practices, provide information on medications, diet, disease processes, and activities. You will also administer IV and injectable medications, conduct prescribed treatments, manage wounds, provide ostomy care, promote independence, and communicate any changes in a patient's health to the physician.
Type Of EmploymentVNA nurses are compensated per visit and may receive mileage reimbursem*nt or a company car. You will be expected to be available from 8 AM to 4:30 PM daily, participate in monthly and weekly on-call rotations, and be willing to travel 45 miles or more for home visits.
TrainingOur comprehensive training program includes a 30-day orientation period during which you will become familiar with our policies and procedures. You will also receive training on using handheld devices for patient visits.

Assess symptoms and treatment responses
Educate patients and caregivers
Administer medications and treatments
Manage wounds and provide ostomy care
Communicate health changes to the physician
Qualifications
Minimum age of 18
Proficient in reading, writing, and basic mathematics
Possess at least one year of home health or nursing experience and a Missouri nursing license
Have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
Clear pre-employment drug screening and background check
Registered with Family Care Registry
Not listed on the Employee Disqualification List (EDL)
