How to Make A Chocolate Martini

Making this homemade martini is so easy, follow these simple steps and you 'll be sipping on one in no time.

  1. Break your chocolate up into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a pot combine chocolate pieces, cream, water and sugar over medium heat stir mixture until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth – like hot chocolate. *Do not bring to a boil*
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature,
  5. Store in the fridge in a sealed bottle or jar until chilled.
  6. Add in vodka, start with ½ cup, shake (or stir) mixture and taste. Add in another ¼ cup of vodka...shake and taste and finally add in the last ¼ cup (if you choose...we all like our co*cktails at different strengths). You can always add more as well.
  7. If it's too thick, you can always add water.
  8. Store in the fridge until ready to serve.
  9. *I like to pop it in the freezer for a ½ hour before drinking, mmm!
  10. When ready to enjoy, shave a little chocolate for rimming your glass or topping the martini.
  11. Shake mixture very well and pour directly into your glasses...You can use a co*cktail shaker with ice as well and strain it out. It's up to you.
  12. Mixture keeps for a week in your fridge.

Tips

  • If your mixture is too thick, you can always add a little water to thin it out.

  • Feel free to rim your glass with chocolate or top your martini with a chocolate garnish.
  • If you want to rim your glass you can get extra fancy and rim the glass with frosting and chocolate shavings or chocolate Jimmie style sprinkles.
  • I strongly recommend using a high quality chocolate.
